Talking through problems can be very helpful but connecting with a trained professional will alleviate pain and emotional distress more permanently. Through my training in psychotherapy, I am able to listen and interact in ways that helps you get to the root of your emotional concerns. My Psychotherapy Practice

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New Jersey (44SC05438800) and New York (R0394941) with over 15 years in private practice. My office is located in the center South Orange Village, NJ. With almost thirty years of clinical experience in behavioral health, I work with clients from adolescence through the life cycle using individual psychotherapy, couples therapy, and family therapy. I also provide Clinical Supervision for LCSWs and LSWs.

Initial consultations are 60 minutes in office sessions. Subsequent sessions are either 45 minutes or 60 minutes. Please contact your insurance provider to confirm whether you have out of network insurance. I am available for telephone and video conferences.

Background

A native of the United Kingdom, I graduated University College London in 1980 with a BS in Human Sciences. After moving to New York City, I attended Hunter College School of Social Work and earned an MSW in 1988 with field experience in a theraputic nursery and a long-term psychiatric research facility. Following graduation, I worked at the Neurological Institute, Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in 1988 then transferred to St. Vincent's Hospital. At St Vincent's Hospital, I worked in adult and adolescent psychiatry, the Continuing Day Treatment Program and as Senior Social Worker in outpatient psychiatry. I have studied at the Ackerman Institute of Family Therapy and have a certificate in hypnotherapy from the American Society for Clinical Hypnosis.
